South East Region Championships 2016Entries Closed

  • This meet is a Level 1 long course (50m). The Qualifying times must be within the published range and appear on British Rankings Database

“Luton April Long course meet is open to all performance and county squads for any swimmers who may have qualifying times for this meet. It is a good chance to experience a long course meet in preparation for regionals. Swimmers who are close to regional times should enter this meet to try  and get the times they need. I would suggest 2 events per session. If any advice is needed on entries please let me know.”

Two events each day can be entered.  Academy swimmers should only enter the Academy events.  As we have applied for a Level 4 licence for these events, the times can be used to enter Open Meets.

The Leighton Buzzard meet is for swimmers in County, Development and Academy. This is a ideal meet to enter if you have not competed before as well as if you are in the relevant squads. All swimmers should now be entering meets to gain pb’s towards next season. I would suggest that all swimmers enter a max of 2 events per session. If you are unsure on which events to enter please discuss with Will or Lisa.
Academy swimmers should be entering the 50m events – please discuss your entries with Hannah.

“The CMK Level 3 meet is suitable for all swimmers in Performance, County and Development squads who have qualifying times for the events. I would encourage swimmers to have a busy programme limiting it to 2 per session.
We should now be starting to think about obtaining pb’s for next season.

ONB County Championships 2016 – Entries Closed

  • All entries are to be completed on the appropriate form and written in pen
  • Incomplete or illegible forms will not be processed
  • Please ensure the swimmer signs the form as the paper copies are submitted to the County
  • Submitted entry times must be on the ASA rankings database (Long course conversions can be accepted)
  • All entry times must have been achieved between 13th April and 14th December (except for 400s/800s/1500s)
  • Submitted times for 400m, 800m and 1500m events must have been achieved between 15th December 2014 and 14th December 2015
  • Once the form has been submitted no amendments will be allowed. A new paper form must be submitted (time permitting)
  • Refunds will only be given should the County reject the entry
  • Do not enter events in the evening / Finals sessions – there are currently some mistakes on the entry form so please check your event numbers and sessions carefully
  • Paper entries must be submitted by 8pm Tuesday 8th December, earlier if possible

I would like to see all swimmers entering the CMK 502400 meet. It is a good chance to obtain some of those County Times needed and gain some experience on the 400 events. I would suggest that you make it a busy programme but limit it to 2 per session to allow some recovery time between events. Our opportunities are limited to gain County Times so I would encourage all swimmers to take these chances.

NPSC Club Champs 2015Entries closed

Lisa and Hannah’s notes:
All swimmers in Age/Youth squads to compete in:

  • 400 Free at Wolverton
  • 200 IM and 200m Free at Wolverton Note – if you are unsure if your child can complete in 50m Butterfly without being disqualified, please speak to their coach to check if they should enter the 200IM
  • Age group events– 4 events of 50/100m of each stroke – marked on the programme as age group.
  • 100IM
  • 1/2 trophy events (age 9/10 should focus on 200m events as swimmers cannot compete in 100m events until aged 10 (females) or 11 (males)

ACADEMY SWIMMERS

8yrs and under should enter both 8yr old races – 25m freestyle and 25m backstroke.

9rs and under should enter all 4 age group strokes and the 100IM race. Please talk to Hannah first about the Breaststroke race and Butterfly race and she will advise if she thinks they are able to do them.

Above 9 yrs should enter their appropriate age group races, 100IM and a 200m race. Again talk to Hannah about Breaststroke and Butterfly and she will advise.

Peterborough level 3 meet is suited for all swimmers who fall within the qualifying times. This is a good meet to achieve those county times that we all need. I would suggest that you make it a busy programme and enter all the events needed but limit it to 2-3 per session. There are finals for the 50m events which will be exciting. If any swimmers need advice on what to enter please speak to Lisa or their coach.”

This meet is ideal for all swimmers with qualifying times and would like to swim at a pool that the club have always performed well at. The organisation is excellent and perfect for swimming good personal bests. All swimmers aiming to compete at counties and beyond next year should select this as their first meet of the season. Swimmers should ideally compete in 2-3 events per session. If you have any questions about open meets, please speak to Susan Lenton or any of the coaching team.”

Note – swimmers should ideally only compete at the CMK development meet in September or Leicester Penguins in October and not both.

This meet is specifically designed for all swimmers that wish to update old times or for swimmers that want to get into swimming competitively.
